A little beneficial rain at the beginning of August. No heat-waves as in 2003. Alternating cool nights and hot days until September, causing humid weather to be brought in from the sea. Superb, aromatic harvests for every grape variety. No excessive alcohol levels and wines with lots of freshness, with minimum extraction of tannins by pumping over. The spicy flavours of Mourvdre are revealed together with a fruitiness, including unusual hints of bilberries.
