Like children, every vintage has its special memories :
2005 : Yin - yang.
The first part of the year proved very dry, with only 70 mm of rain by the end of August. A rather cold winter. A spring without excessive heat enabled the vines to develop, whilst harnessing their energy. As in 2004, the August nights were chilly. As for the harvest period, it was punctuated by rain. The initial rain was beneficial for the plants without causing the harvest to rot. Our harvests finished later than in previous years (29/9) and before the more troublesome rain. The mistral failed to put in an appearance throughout the whole of September. Yields were particularly low. The estate's reds have silkier tannins, like all the vintages affected by rain during the harvest. The elegance of the fruit is reminiscent of the previous year.
